Graham Rogers plans for 'Long Time Gone'
Siegel-Magness taps thesp to play Meg Ryan's teen son

Exclusive: "Precious" producer Sarah Siegel-Magness has tapped Graham Rogers for
her directorial debut "Long Time Gone."

Ryan toplines the Smokewood Entertainment production as a woman who suffers a
nervous breakdown after her cheating husband leaves her. Rogers will play Ryan's
18-year-old son Henry, a good-hearted stoner who has flunked out of high school
and is determined to comfort her with the help of his estranged older brother
(Zach Gilford, "Friday Night Lights") and live-in girlfriend (Amanda Crew, "Sex
Drive").

Karen McCullah ("The Ugly Truth") wrote the script, which is based on April
Stevens' novel "Angel, Angel." Scribe will also produce with Bobbi Sue Luther
and Gary Magness, while Andrew Sugerman and Seth Jaret will exec produce.

Rogers, who stars in the upcoming genre pic "1313: Haunted Frat," will soon be
seen alongside "Glee" thesp Chris Colfer in the indie comedy "Struck By
Lightning." He's repped by APA, Dino May Management and attorney Rick Genow.

It has become the number one supplier of content for the here! TV network (available in 40 million U.S. homes) and currently has its programming in distribution through 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, Showtime, HBO, LionsGate, First Look Pictures, Regent Entertainment, Viacom/MTV's LOGO, OutTV Canada, E1, Image Entertainment, ProSeiben, SciFi Channel and many others.

Edgar Allan Poe's HOUSE OF USHER wrapped last night in L.A. This is the 2nd in a series of POE pictures I am doing for Here! TV. The first was Edgar Allan Poe's THE RAVEN which is currently airing. USHER stars FRANK MENTIER (DAYS OF OUR LIVES) as Roderick Usher, JAIMYSE HAFT as Madeline and MICHAEL CARDELLE (AS THE WORLD TURNS) as Victor. JILL JACOBSON (NURSE SHERRI herself!) makes a cameo appearance as a doctor at a mental hospital. The film is produced by JOHN SCHOUWEILER (GODS AND MONSTERS) John co-produced many of my early movies with me such as SORORITY BABES, NIGHTMARE SISTERS and DR. ALIEN. It's great to be working together again. The film was written by a new British screenwriter SIMON SAVORY. HARRY MANFREDINI (FRIDAY THE 13TH) will provide the music score. Expect a release in early 2008.

Although it is the full frame version without any extras I still think it is a good deal since it retails for less than 7 bucks!
I directed this martial arts- action - scifi - superhero movie back in 1995 and it was unavailable on DVD for many years after its HBO premiere in 1996. The film stars MAXWELL CAULFIELD, STACY KEACH, PAUL BARTEL, PAUL REGINA, TREVOR GODDARD and LINDA BLAIR.

EDGAR ALLAN POE'S THE RAVEN completes post production

I just finished production on Edgar Allan Poe's THE RAVEN. This is writer Matthew Jason Walsh and my new provocative take on the classic story that will raise a few eyebrows for sure with it’s potent gay imagery.

Although set in the English countryside, I shot the film almost entirely in Johannesburg, South Africa with additional scenes in the U.K. The cinematographer is Hammer Films cameraman VINCENT G. COX, B.S.C. of CREATURES THE WORLD FORGOT (1971). This was a delight for me as I have been a fan of Mr. Cox's work for years and since this was a gothic chiller there was no better choice.

I have found a new and delicious cast of newcomers that I am sure the fans of my THE BROTHERHOOD franchise will love.

RE-ANIMATOR music composer Richard Band provides the music for THE RAVEN. Its been 16 years since Richard and I collaborated on PUPPETMASTER 3. His work on Stuart Gordon's Poe movie THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM is the one of the best horror scores ever and I am so happy he has come back to work with me again.

Mr. Richard Johnson plays the voice of the killer and narrates the movie reading the classic Poe short story. I have been a fan of Mr. Johnson's since the original THE HAUNTING but the fact that he also starred in the Lucio Fulci's ZOMBI 2 is a major thrill for me. I ran ZOMBI 2 as a projectionist in Portland, Oregon as a teen and the fact that I have now directed this man is what makes being a "fan first/director second" so much fun.

This is my first truly gay movie since LEATHER JACKET LOVE STORY (1997) and I am grateful that producers Paul Colichman and Stephen P. Jarchow have allowed me to make another film that is purely and unapologetically gay themed.

Here! TV has asked me to make a slate of Edgar Allan Poe movies for them so HOUSE OF USHER is next up.

EDGAR ALLAN POE'S THE RAVEN will premiere on the HERE! TV network this Spring.

BEASTLY BOYZ and Rapid Heart Extreme are a success on DVD and HERE! TV so expect more RHX movies this year!

GRIZZLY RAGE is complete and has been delivered. I was so honored to have Mr. Stan Cole as one of the editors of the film. Mr Cole edited the original horror classic BLACK CHRISTMAS. A Sci Fi channel premiere will be announced soon.

EDGAR ALLAN POE'S THE RAVEN is being edited right now and I am so proud of this movie. HAMMER FILMS' Mr. Vincent Cox ASC, BSC, SASC photographed the movie and it looks GORGEOUS! Expect the film to premiere on HERE! TV later this year.

The RAPID HEART TV series is a go! My writers are currently developing scripts for the 13 episodes. I expect a busy year!

Hello! I just got back from a whirlwind adventure shooting EDGAR ALLAN POE'S THE RAVEN on two continents! We just started editing in Montreal which makes this movie my first to be created on THREE continents! Africa, Europe and North America!
This is the most ambitious movie of my career and I hope to have it completed early next year with a broadcast premiere on HERE! TV by Spring 2007! More news to follow including pics!

Well I'm halfway through the shoot and all is going well. The weather has been challenging but the crew and cast have been real troopers and we are on schedule. I really do love it here in Johannesburg. It is a beautiful city and all the rumors of it been dangerous are really overblown. The people are soooooo friendly and polite I may actually get an apartment here for the winter time. The good news is that famed British cinematographer VINCENT G. COX, BSC, ASC is amazing. Mr. Cox shot the HAMMER film CREATURES THE WORLD FORGOT and I feel so lucky to have such an extraordinary talent as my cameraman. More soon...

Welcome to my new presence on the web! I have decided to use this blog to update my travels making movies all over the world. It is much easier for me to update this site than the Rapid Heart Pictures website from before. Find the links on your right to navigate to my webstore, yahoo forum, etc.

The latest news is that I am in Johannesburg, South Africa preparing to shoot my new movie EDGAR ALLAN POE’S THE RAVEN. I start shooting on Wednesday the 8th of November. The cast is coming together very nicely and the locations are spectacular. The film is a modern day retelling of the classic poem but with a murder mystery twist. Set in the English countryside the film is very “tea cup” - like a Merchant Ivory film meets Agatha Christie. It will premiere on the HERE TV network early next year.

I will try to update this site daily to let you know how the shoot is going and to post pictures!
